Rebecca Burtram
Rebecca Burtram is an experienced educator, instructional leader, and an emerging consultant with a passion for equitable schools and student success. With over two decades in education, she has taught English, Spanish, and ESL at all levels in rural, suburban, and urban environments. This broad range of experience makes her uniquely qualified to address issues that impact all public school teaching environments.
As a school leader, she focuses on combining accountability with restorative practices to provide high standards and high support for all. Currently a Team Leader and School Testing Coordinator in Montgomery County Public Schools, Rebecca has designed and co-led the implementation of a schoolwide behavior intervention program that support both educators and students. Her expertise spans curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and strategic planning.
Rebecca holds a BA in Spanish Education and English from Evangel University and a MA in English from SUNY Cortland. She is currently in the process of gaining National Board Certification. Additionally, she is experienced in nonprofit leadership, project management, and marketing.
Rebecca has been published across multiple genres. She wrote “Maintaining Character Education in the Midst of High Stakes Testing” for INTransition Journal of the New York State Middle School Association and “Teams in Action” for Middle Ground the Magazine of Middle Level Education. She was a freelance writer for AG News and wrote the book Our Broken Hallelujahs. Additionally, Rebecca enjoys public speaking and has been the keynote speaker for various events
Adam E. Howard
Adam E. Howard is an educational leader, accountability advocate, and restorative approaches coach dedicated to transforming schools. Adam’s experience makes him an expert in Title 1 schools, both elementary and middle school. Adam attained a M.A. in Equity in Education from McDaniel College and is continuing his education by pursuing his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Bowie State University. He specializes in creating structured, student-centered environments that balance high expectations with meaningful support. An example of meaningful support provided is presented in his article “Continuity Over Packing It In: The Case for Looping Up with Your Students” which is published by EducationWorld.
As a middle school educator, team leader, and the Alternative 1 program coordinator, he provided targeted interventions for students struggling with behavior, academics, and attendance. His experience includes coaching staff on effective accountability systems, implementing restorative practices to repair harm, and developing data-driven strategies to improve student outcomes. Through his work, Adam empowers educators to build school cultures that uphold responsibility while fostering student growth and success.
